Giving To The Needy

We don’t give because we are rich

I have met a lot of people over the years and from so many of them, I have pretty much learned the same thing.

Most of the kindest people I’ve met are those who don’t have much to give and still give more than those who can.

I realized then that people who think they have to be rich first before they can give to the world can’t be more wrong. I realized then that I have been seeing an important truth in reverse.

We don’t give because we are rich.

We are rich because we give.

I’m not saying that I’m expecting good karma to give me back something in return for the good deeds I have done. I give because I love doing it. Not because I want something in return.

What I’m trying to say is that the act of giving itself has made me realized that I am rich. It doesn’t even have to mean money. Even contributing my energy and effort to do something good for someone made me realized that I have more. So much more than I can give.

If that’s not a blessing… I don’t know what is.

The act of giving is a moment of revelation. We start to truly see that we actually have more than we think. It doesn’t matter how much or what you give. Every single little thing helps. It really does.

Don’t wait until you have a surplus to give. Give the moment you have the chance to give.
